Description
YMCA Bournemouth Child Contact Centre is a NACCC accredited service supporting children and families to build positive relationships even when they do not live together. We offer a safe and neutral environment where the child is the most important person.
We are looking for a passionate, motivated, skilled, and experienced person who can hit the ground running to take a lead role in our Child Contact Centre. You will work in close collaboration with the Family and Relationship staff team, taking a lead in processing incoming enquiries & referrals, coordinating families, volunteers, and staff in the delivery of our contact services.
You will play an active role in providing support and facilitating parent and child contact sessions within the legislative frame provided by the National Association of Child Contact Centres (NACCC). You will have keen interest in and working knowledge / experience of working with vulnerable children and families. Some knowledge of child protection, family law, Family Justice System is essential.
Excellent organisational, administrative and report writing skills are essential, along with the ability to communicate effectively with the whole team.
You will liaise closely with a range of partners including family members, solicitors, CAFCASS, family courts and social workers etc.
The post is for 32 hours a week and will include working on alternate weekends and in the early evenings on some weekdays. Time off will be available on weekdays.
The work is based across two sites in Bournemouth currently, The Stourvale Centre, Southbourne and Townsend Youth Centre.
