We are offering the opportunity for an Early Years Practitioner to join our homely and small nursery setting. Bumble Bees Childcare is run by Leanne and Mikey, who have opened their home to provide quality within the local area. Bumble Bees is in Dorchester, near Poundbury. Bumble Bees Childcare is known locally as a unique childcare setting, offering between 12-14 spaces per day for children aged between 6 months and 3 years.
Working closely as a team and with the parents, we offer a variety of fun and educational experiences for our little ones, through a mixture of ‘Planning in the Moment’, ‘Curiosity Approach’ and ‘Child Led’ Play.
We are looking for a proactive member of staff, to help provide a safe, stimulating, and inclusive environment, where babies and young children are supported and encouraged to reach their full potential.
Ideally the applicant will hold a Level 3 qualification in Early Years, however for the right candidate we would be willing to take on someone unqualified who is willing to undertake their Level 3 qualification within 6 months of starting their position. Currently the local council fully fund this Level 3 childcare qualification.
It is desirable that the successful applicant has a secure knowledge and understanding of child development within the EYFS. Support and training of the New Development Matters and our curriculum will be provided.
The applicant will need to be able to work closely, as part of a small team of 6.
The applicant must be passionate, caring, and enthusiastic about working with children in the Early Years.
Hours can be negotiable, but we are ideally look for someone to work 4 days 9:00 – 3:00/4:00- approx. 24-30 hours per week, term time. We ask that you can be flexible, to potentially cover sickness/holidays.
