Are you looking for a new role within an exciting, pioneering, and outstanding childcare provider?
Rock A Tots wish to appoint a new team member to join a dedicated team ASAP (or subject to notice period). We are an Ofsted rated ‘good’ setting for 0- to 5-year-olds, set in the grounds of Compton Acres Gardens.
You will need to be passionate about working in Early Years, enthusiastic about extending learning through play and willing to prepare exciting, fun activities (often in the moment) and be confident in leading those activities and daily routines, with the support of your team.
We can offer you a Nursery and grounds within which to innovate, stimulate and deliver the EYFS curriculum. We also enjoy exploring our local beach, library, shops, park and further afield.
We are firmly focused on supporting and encouraging your professional journey of development and ensure you continue to access the latest training relevant to your role or specialist interest.
Attention to detail and the ability to follow safeguarding procedures is essential to the role.
A full and relevant L3 qualification preferred. Experience of working in an early years setting, knowledge of the EYFS 2024 framework and commitment to safeguarding is essential.
The hours of employment will be 8.00 am to 6.00 pm 2 days part time 4 days full time.
You are required to have good communication skills and be able to work as part of a team, giving and accepting support within the team, using your own initiative, and showing a pro-active attitude to working in a busy nursery working both indoors and outdoors regardless of the weather. Light cleaning duties will be required.
You will be required to observe and assess, to inform activities and enhance provision for a group of Key Children, liaise with parents and have a good level of literacy skills. Use of technology will be required to record observations online.
Safeguarding, child protection, Paediatric First Aid, Food allergy awareness and Food hygiene are essential, or willingness to train if not already current.
