YMCA Bournemouth are looking for an exceptional Manager who holds a minimum level 5 qualification, for Teddy’s our OFSTED rated “Good” Pre-school and our holiday club provision in Boscombe (BH7).

You will provide outstanding leadership and operational management to our established practitioners. You will be able to recruit, train, motivate and inspire the team to deliver outstanding care and education for children aged 2 to 5 years.

The role demands great interpersonal, organisational and people management skills in addition to championing our curriculum and our “in the moment” and child led ethos, as well as ensuring high quality education and care for all.

You will be responsible for multi-agency working, acting as lead professional and attending meetings where necessary. Experience in working with children who require the support of statutory services as well as children with additional or SEN, and/or EAL would also be advantageous.



This role is 37.5 hours per week, term time only (39 weeks) plus additional 4 weeks.

Salary : £23,000.00 – £25,000.00 per annum, pro rata, depending on experience.

The role has a statutory, occupational requirement to ensure the safety and welfare of all children, young people and adults at risk using our services. The post holder will take responsibility for ensuring safeguarding children, young people and adults at risk is a priority and follow both YMCA safeguarding policy and Pan Dorset statutory guidance. This post is subject to an enhanced CRB check.
