30 hours free childcare – when to apply to claim funding in April 2018

To claim 30 hours free childcare for 3 and 4 year olds from April 2018, eligible working parents can now apply and get their eligibility code. They will need to take the code to their childcare provider by 31 March 2018. If parents miss the deadline they won’t be able to claim until September 2018.
If you know parents who could be eligible, please encourage them to apply by 31 March to make sure they don’t miss out on their free hours.
If parents are already claiming, they may need to reconfirm their eligibility. They can do this by logging in to their Childcare Account. Parents need to reconfirm their eligibility every 3 months, even if they have not started claiming their hours. Find out more about how and when parents need to reconfirm.
