Tax-Free Childcare available to all eligible parents

Tax-Free Childcare is now available to all eligible parents. Most working parents with children under 12 years old (under 17 if disabled) can benefit from the scheme, which involves setting up an online account to pay for registered childcare. For every £8 parents pay in, the government adds £2 (up to £2,000 per child per year, or £4,000 for a disabled child). Parents are able to claim Tax-Free Childcare at the same time as the 15 and 30 hours free childcare schemes (but not the childcare elements of Tax Credits and Universal Credit).
Tax-free Childcare will replace childcare vouchers for new joiners from April 2018.
